It’s tough to match up in a pitching showdown when your throwing elbow has a big knot in it.

Hampshire ace Trey Schramm took a pitch in the right elbow from Prairie Ridge’s Ben Cilano Wednesday and when the bruise swelled up he had to leave. Without Schramm, who has signed with Xavier, the Whip-Purs failed to match up and fell 10-1 to the runaway leaders of the Fox Valley Fox.
