Woman, 65, beaten to death in Lake Station home

A 65-year-old woman was beaten to death late Monday in her northwest Indiana home.

Edith Keith was pronounced dead at her home in the 500 block of East 37^th Avenue in Lake Station at 10 p.m. Monday, according to a statement from the Lake County (Ind.) coroner’s office.

An autopsy found she suffered blunt force trauma and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.

Lake Station police did not return calls for information Tuesday.
