A 65-year-old woman was beaten to death late Monday in her northwest Indiana home.

Edith Keith was pronounced dead at her home in the 500 block of East 37th Avenue in Lake Station at 10 p.m. Monday, according to a statement from the Lake County (Ind.) coroner’s office.

An autopsy found she suffered blunt force trauma and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.

Lake Station police did not return calls for information Tuesday.
