If it’s August it must be just about time for Broadway in Chicago’s free annual “preview of the season” concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

So mark your calendar for 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.

On tap will be excerpts from: “Beautiful – The Carole King Musical” (starring Chicago-bred Abby Mueller); the world premiere “Gotta Dance”; “42nd Street”; “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder”; “If/Then”; Roundabout Theatre’s revival of “Cabaret”; “Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage”; Disney’s “Newsies” and “The Lion King” and Emerald City’s family show, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
