SHARE Man robs Elgin convenience store

A man robbed a convenience store Sunday morning in northwest suburban Elgin.

The male suspect walked into the store in the 400 block of Bluff City Boulevard about 11:20 a.m. and implied he had a handgun, according to Elgin police. He took an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register then ran from the store.

The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male about 6-foot-2 with medium build, police said.
