Chicago Police are warning residents of armed robberies in the Bridgeport and Armour Square neighborhoods on the South Side.

Since Dec. 20, at least four armed robberies have been reported where armed men approached people and demanded their property, according to a statement from police.

The robberies happened at:

  • 5:49 a.m. on Dec. 20 in the 2300 block of South Stewart Avenue;
  • 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 20 in the 200 block of West 23rd Street;
  • 11:58 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the 3700 block of South Halsted Street;
  • and 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 2900 block of South Emerald Avenue.

The robbers are described as one or two black men, between the ages of 18 and 27, standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11, and weighing 140 to 160 pounds, police said. They have black hair, brown eyes and one man had braids.
