A 36-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot multiple times as he drove in the 1600 block of North Melvina Avenue in Galewood on the Northwest Side just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the police.

He was shot by two males firing from the sidewalk, according to the police, who said he was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
