A man has been charged with fleeing police after shots were fired at officers early Saturday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Andrew Swanson, 23, was charged with one felony count of aggravated fleeing police and issued four traffic citations, according to Chicago Police.

Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, officers heard shots and saw a car speeding away from the 2500 block of South Avers, police said.

As they followed the vehicle, someone inside it shot at the officers, police said. No one was hit.

The car eventually stopped and two people ran away. Swanson was arrested and the other suspect got away, police said.

Swanson, of the 2400 block of South Lawndale, was ordered held on a $150,000 bond at a Monday hearing, according to Cook County Circuit Court records. He has another court date Thursday.
