Once Northern Arizona made Carlos Hines a priority, the staff became very quick and active in the recruitment of North Lawndale star.

Just weeks after after offering the 6-3 combo guard, Northern Arizona was able to nab a commitment from Hines late Monday night.

Hines received an offer the first week of December and decided to pull the trigger and commit to the Lumberjacks, who play at UIC tonight.

The City/Suburban Hoops Report had labeled Hines as the best candidate to be this year’s breakout senior prospect. Hines, who just recently recorded a triple-double, was well on his way as he was off to a fast start and productive senior season.

Hines was one of the more overlooked prospects in the senior class. But now Hines is a committed breakout player following an in-home visit on Monday with the Northern Arizona staff.
