A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking down the street in the 11800 block of South Emerald about 1 p.m. when someone exited a gangway and fired at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
