A 17-year-old was injured in a drive-by shooting early Tuesday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The teenager was in the 3000 block of South Komensky at 2:37 a.m. when a vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the right arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member and the shooting might be gang-related.
