A man was shot Wednesday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened in the 3400 block of West Harrison about 10 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The 43-year-old man was shot in both legs, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. His condition was not immediately available.

Police said the victim is a convicted felon and documented gang member.
