Bail was set Saturday at $50,000 for a Near North Side man who’s charged with sexually assaulting a child multiple times between July 1997 and September 1999.

Robert J. Weaver, 57, was arrested Thursday night and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, a felony, according to the Chicago Police Department.
