A man was shot late Sunday in the Norwood Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 23-year-old was standing outside about 11:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of North Elston when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken in good condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said.
