A man tried to grab a girl as she walked to school Thursday on the Southwest Side.

A man tried to lure the girl on her way to school between 6 and 8 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Kedzie Avenue, according to a community alert from the police that says he tried to grab her, but she ran to school and called her mother.
