A man was wounded in a North Lawndale neighborhood shooting late Sunday on the Southwest Side.

The 36-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 11:25 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Komensky when another male walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right knee and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
