Man wounded in Chatham shooting

A 46-year-old man was shot Thursday evening in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

He was driving at 7:53 p.m. in the 8400 block of South St. Lawrence when he heard shots and realized he’d been struck in the shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
