The Cross-Town Showdown between the White Sox and Cubs creates a rift in the Chicago sports scene each year. Chicagoans flock to their favorite baseball team and those on the fence about a team are expected to take a side.

This type of city-wide atmosphere is hard to explain to those who aren’t familiar with the area, but comedy-improv group Second City defines the differences between the fans of each franchise. Most are spot on — especially how Cubs fans celebrate World Series wins.

In Game 1 of the Showdown, the White Sox defeated the Cubs on a day of brilliant pitching, 1-0. Jon Lester squares off against fellow ace Chris Sale in the second game Saturday at 4:05 p.m.
