A man was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side Friday night.

An 18-year-old man was walking in the 4400 block of Marshfield Avenue at 5:40 p.m. when he was shot in the upper body, police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
