A man was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Friday evening.

At 5:19 p.m., the 43-year-old man was standing outside in the 3500 block of West Pierce Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs and was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member and was “highly intoxicated” when he was shot.
