Count Kyle Long among the Chicago athletes who actually like deep dish

Pau Gasol defied Chicagoans last year when he said he didn’t like deep dish pizza, but the classic Chicago fare has a fan in Bears lineman Kyle Long.

Speaking to 670 The Score, Long said he actually tried to order a deep dish pizza while in San Francisco in advance of Super Bowl 50

“I’m a big fan of deep dish and I can’t find it on the West Coast,” Long said. “I’m getting skinny. I need dough, I need fresh tomatoes and I need a lot of cheese.”

The Pro Bowler’s comments couldn’t be further from Gasol’s, who said deep dish pizza was “just a cake of melted cheese.”

Long knows the way to a Chicagoan’s heart. Although a winning season couldn’t hurt, either.
