A man and a teenager were injured in a two-car crash Sunday in northwest suburban McHenry County.
A Dodge Grand Caravan minivan was northbound on Menge Road at 3:35 p.m. when the driver blew through a stop sign and hit a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck heading west on Dunham Road, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s office.
The crash sent the vehicles off the roadway, where the Dodge struck several trees and rolled onto its right side, police said.
The driver of the Dodge, a 37-year-old Harvard man, was taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, police said.
A 17-year-old Wauconda boy driving the Chevrolet was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
The intersection where the crash happened is in Hartland Township, about eight miles northwest of Woodstock.
McHenry County sheriff’s police continue to investigate and have not issued any citations as of Monday afternoon.
