A 27-year-old woman was shot Friday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 10:25 p.m., she was sitting on a porch in the 1600 block of North Monitor when someone on the corner began shooting in her direction, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the leg and taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
