Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men in separate incidents in the last week at the DuPage County Courthouse in west suburban Wheaton.

About 9:30 a.m. Monday, a judge ordered a 28-year-old man to be held in contempt of court, according to a statement from the DuPage County sheriff’s office. When he resisted attempts to be taken into custody, a deputy standing nearby Tased and arrested him.

Anthony Ramirez, of the 2600 block of Armbrust Avenue in Wheaton, is being held at the DuPage County Jail, the sheriff’s office said. He is scheduled to appear in bond court at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, charged with criminal contempt and resisting arrest.

About 1 p.m. July 19, a deputy noticed a suspicious man inside the fenced perimeter of the courthouse, the sheriff’s office said. When deputies approached, he refused to cooperate and was arrested.

Stuart Rothberg, 49, of the 1300 block of Finley Road in Lombard, was charged with one count of criminal trespass to state land, the sheriff’s office said. He is being held at the DuPage County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
