A 17-year-old boy was shot late Thursday in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

He was walking north in the 1800 block of South Hamlin about 11 p.m. when someone emerged from a gangway and shot him in the right arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police, said.
