A 29-year-old man told the police he was shot in his right shoulder as he walked in the 4500 block of North Magnolia Avenue in Uptown just after 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

He was being treated at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the police, who said they believed the shooting was gang-related.
