A man was wounded in a shooting early Thursday in the University Village neighborhood on the Near West Side.

The 22-year-old was walking down the street about 3:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Taylor when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside started shooting, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the leg and later walked into Rush University Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
