A 57-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash Wednesday night in northwest suburban Hanover Park.

John W. Baske was riding a motorcycle north on County Farm Road, then turned west on Lake Street, where the bike struck a curb and he was ejected about 6:30 p.m., according to Hanover Park police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Baske, of Des Plaines, was first taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, then airlifted to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died at 10:30 p.m., authorities said.

An autopsy on Thursday found he died of multiple injuries from a motorcycle striking a fixed object.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported, police said.
