Man hurt in Chatham shooting

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday morning in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking about 6:50 a.m. in the 7900 block of South Eberhart when someone in a vehicle fired shots, striking him in the left ankle, police said.

He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, police said.
