A 19-year-old man was shot to death Saturday evening in south suburban Harvey.

Donzell Webster had left a gas station nearby and was walking behind a title loans store near 135th and Dixie Highway about 5:45 p.m. when he was shot in the neck, according to Sean Howard, spokesman for the city of Harvey, and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was able to run back to the gas station about a block away, where he collapsed and someone called an ambulance, Howard said.

Webster, a Harvey resident, was taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where he was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Howard said investigators are tracking down leads in surveillance video and from witnesses at the scene.
