A teenager was shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

About 3:55 a.m., the 17-year-old boy was walking through a vacant lot in the 300 block of South Cicero when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot int he left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
