A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 1:16 p.m. in the 200 block of East Garfield, according to Chicago Police.

The 35-year-old victim was shot in the ankle, and was taken in good condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
