A 35-year-old man died late Monday after being shot in south suburban Dixmoor.

Brandon Murray was shot in the back in the 14300 block of Paulina Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Murray, a Dolton resident, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:14 p.m. Monday, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Dixmoor police did not immediately respond to requests for information about the shooting.
