A Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest line was running with extensive delays after striking a vehicle early Monday near Woodstock.

As of 4:36 a.m., outbound train No. 601, scheduled to arrive in Harvard at 2:20 a.m., was on the move, but running with extensive delays, according to Metra. The train was stopped near the Woodstock station for several hours.

Details on the crash were not immediately available.
