Two men were shot to death Saturday evening in a neighborhood auto shop in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot at 5:49 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Lawndale Avenue found 56-year-old Gilberto Casteneda and 33-year-old Reyes Alfonso Granados unresponsive with gunshot wounds to their heads, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Granados lived in Bensenville and Casteneda lived in Minooka.

Area Central detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
