A man was wounded in a shooting early Saturday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 33-year-old was walking with an acquaintance at 1:47 a.m. in the 500 block of North Kedzie when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
