Man stabbed to death in suburban Calumet Park

A 21-year-old man died after being stabbed Saturday in suburban Calumet Park.

Jose Gonzalez Tamayo, of Calumet Park, was in the 1700 block of West 127th Street when he was stabbed, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived a block away.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn were he was pronounced dead, the examiner’s office said.

An autopsy conducted Sunday found that he died from a stab wound of the abdomen, the examiner’s office said. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Calumet Park police were not available for comment Sunday night.
