1 wounded Wednesday in Chicago gun violence

The 19-year-old man was traveling south in a vehicle about 4:37 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Kedzie Avenue, when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside and opened fire, police said.

One person was wounded Wednesday in gun violence across Chicago.

The only reported shooting happened about 4:37 p.m. in Lawndale on the West Side.

A 19-year-old man was traveling south in a vehicle in the 1400 block of South Kedzie Avenue, when a vehicle pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the wrist and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

On Tuesday, one person was killed and five others wounded in citywide shootings.
