Beyoncé has released a new, original song from Disney’s live-action “The Lion King.”

“Spirit,” which she co-wrote, was made available on YouTube, Amazon Music, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and Tidal.

In the movie, which will be in theaters on Thursday, the song comes at a pivotal moment for Nala, the character Beyoncé voices.

It’s part of an album called “The Lion King: The Gift” for which Beyoncé is executive producer and on which she’s one of the performers.

The collection is a companion to the main “The Lion King” soundtrack, which is mostly songs from the animated film, plus a new number from Elton John and Tim Rice, who wrote the songs for the original.

Both soundtrack albums will be released Friday.
