Man fatally struck by vehicle in Rogers Park

The 31-year-old was running across the street about 12:12 a.m. July 31 in the 6400 block of North Sherian Road when he was hit, Chicago police said.

A man died after he was struck by a vehicle last week in Rogers Park on the North Side.

The 31-year-old was running across the street about 12:12 a.m. July 31 in the 6400 block of North Sheridan Road when he was hit, Chicago police said.

Graham Pigozzi was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead about 12:49 p.m. the next day, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the neighborhood.

An autopsy found Pigozzi died of multiple injuries and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and provided police with information, police said.
