A 31-year-old man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Friday in Rogers Park on the North Side.

He was running across the street about 12:12 a.m. in the 6400 block of North Sheridan Road when he was hit, Chicago police said. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and provided police with information.

The man was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with a skull fracture and a broken leg, police said.

The incident is under investigation.
