With the draft over, the Bears are now racing to add to their rookie class with undrafted free agents. Here’s who they’ve signed so far:
Pos. Player, College
RB C.J. Marable, Coastal Carolina
TE Scooter Harrington, Stanford
OL Dareuan Parker, Mississippi State
OL Gunnar Vogel, Northwestern
OL Gage Cervenka, Clemson (via Aaron Wilson)
DL Thomas Schaffer, Stanford

LB Caleb Johnson, Houston Baptist
Among last year’s undrafted free agents, running back Artavis Pierce and offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen each got snaps during the season and several others got an extended opportunity on the practice squad.
The top undrafted player in Bears history was center Jay Hilgenberg, who wasn’t picked in 1981 but went on to play 11 seasons for the Bears. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler who earned all-pro honors five times.
The Bears kicked off the draft by trading up for quarterback Justin Fields in the first round and offensive tackle Teven Jenkins in the second. They took offensive lineman Larry Borom in the fifth round, then running back Khalil Herbert, wide receiver Dazz Newsome and cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. in the sixth, followed by BYU defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga.
