Patrick Kane continued his hot start to the season with a pair of big plays giving the Blackhawks a lead in the third quarter against the Los Angeles Kings.
With the Blackhawks down a goal in the third, Kane found an open lane and blasted a shot on net. After a possible deflection off of the knee of a Kings defender, goalie Jonathan Quick let it slip past his glove.
The Blackhawks scoring attack wasn’t over. Just a few minutes later the offensive rush was again lead by Kane. This time, however, Kane’s fancy stick-work would lead to a pass, finding an open Teuvo Teravainen.
The young up and coming star finished the job with a one-timer past Quick. The Hawks took a 3-2 lead.
