That escalated quickly.

After a scoreless first period, the Blackhawks scored three times in 1:55 to take a 3-1 lead over Calgary Sunday at the United Center.

Patrick Kane, the hottest player in the NHL right now, has now scored in seven consecutive games as he made the score 1-1 with 13:23 remaining in the second period. Kane has now registered a point in 13 consecutive games.

A minute later, Marian Hossa scored his first goal since Oct. 17 to give a Blackhawks a 2-1 lead.

Just 52 seconds after that, Artemi Panarin made it 3-1 on a goal assisted by Kane. Panarin has points in five straight games.
