It’s not easy working in a TV newsroom. New and updated stories flying in every few seconds, edits and changes constantly being made. It can cause mistakes.

Unfortunately for ABC-7 Chicago, its mistake happened on live TV.

While talking about Bryant Brewer, the man convicted to a life sentence for killing Chicago Police Officer Thor Soderberg, they flashed up a picture of Patrick Kane.

Of course, Kane was in the news Wednesday, but definitely not for a life sentence. Anchor Ravi Baichwal continued with the story while the Blackhawks player’s picture was displayed.

This comes a day after a WGN News broadcast featured a Nazi image while covering Yom Kippur.
