With 40-degree weather predicted for Sunday in Minneapolis, the only snow flakes at the Blackhawks’ Stadium Series game might be found on Corey Crawford’s mask.

NHL.com unveiled the specially designed mask this week in advance of this weekend’s game against the Wild.

The mask includes gray snowflakes on a red, white and black pattern with his number 50 painted on top. The lower portion of the mask spells out “HAWKS.” Four stars, likely representing Chicago’s flag, go across the forehead.

According to NHL.com, Crawford was looking for simplicity in the design.

“I had a little say in it,” Crawford said, via NHL.com. “I designed one thing and then they kind of work with me. They finished it up pretty much, just tweaked a couple things.”

Let’s hope Crawford actually gets to wear his mask this time. His mask for Chicago’s previous Stadium Series game in 2014 went missing in the days leading up to the game, forcing him to stick with his standard gear.
