It’s being billed as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” — perhaps because once you’ve slept in the “cozy” sleeping quarters, you won’t feel the need to do it again.

For three days in August, Oscar Mayer plans to offer its famed Wienermobile for overnight stays in Chicago. No word on whether the keys to the ignition are included.

“At Oscar Mayer, we’re passionate about giving our fans the highest quality, best tasting hot dogs out there,” Oscar Mayer spokesman Matt Riezman said in a statement. “We can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Hot Dog Day than to give hot dog fans what they’ve been craving: a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay inside the most iconic hot dog out there by making it available to book on Airbnb.”

In case you’d forgotten, Wednesday, July 17, is National Hot Dog Day.

The space is big enough for just two people and is priced at $136 per night, excluding taxes and fees. Guests will only be able to book for one night: Aug. 1, 2 or 3.

What do you get for the fee? A mini fridge stocked with hot dogs, as well as an Oscar Mayer “roller grill to take home, an outdoor space for comfortable hot dog eating and a custom Wienermobile art piece by local artist Laura Kiro.”

A temporary bathroom will be located “just a few steps away.”

Guests, who can begin booking July 24, will also receive a “welcome package with all the hot dog-inspired attire they could want — from hot dog sunglasses and fanny packs to a wiener onesie for a good night’s sleep.”

For now, Oscar Mayer isn’t saying exactly where the Wienermobile will be parked for overnight stays — other than “the Chicago area.”
