Mayor Rahm Emanuel took some time – and some selfies – with young Chicagoans from the One Summer Chicago program on Friday.

The mayor pitched in with a cleanup effort at the 63rd Street beach – with time for chatting and photos with the group. One Summer Chicago is a city program offering jobs and internships to 22,000 youths and young adults.

Nakiya Handy reached out for a energy bar and then realized it was Mayor Rahm Emanuel handing it to her.
