A 53-year-old man has died weeks after he was shot in south suburban Harvey.

David Ibarra was shot about 3:09 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 200 block of East 159th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead 1:43 a.m. Monday at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy found Ibarra died from complications of a gunshot wound to the back and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Albany Park.
