2 men wounded, 1 critically in East Garfield Park shooting

They were standing near a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Fulton Boulevard when shots rang out after an unknown group of people were involved in an argument.

Two men were struck by gunfire Saturday in East Garfield Park.

About 5 a.m., they were standing in front of a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Fulton Boulevard when an unknown group of people began to argue, Chicago police said. The pair heard shots and felt pain.

A 33-year-old was hit in the abdomen, back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. The other man, 32, was hit in the groin and was taken to the same hospital where his condition was stabilized.

Area North detectives are investigating.

Earlier, two men were wounded in a separate shooting a few blocks away.
