A 26-year-old man was killed when he was shot Tuesday in Chicago Lawn on the South Side.

Barron Berry was in a parked vehicle about 9:35 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Artesian Avenue when he was shot in the abdomen, officials said.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, Chicago police said.

Berry lived in the neighborhood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
